Since our first summer in this house, we have always struggled with cooling down the living area and kitchen! We have bought small fans to put all over the house in hopes of cooling it down. That worked very little and we still had to turn the AC down just to survive in the heat of the summer. A couple of weeks ago I was looking online at Home Depot and found some really good deals on ceiling fans. We ended up getting one for the kitchen and one for the living room. The one that I originally bought for the living room had some technical difficulties so, Brent returned it and got a really fancy 60 inch fan!! I was quite impressed. It goes great with our decor and is awesome at putting out some great air flow!! We have had the AC on 79 most of today and it happens to be one of the hottest days of the year so far. I think we topped out at 98 degrees! With both fans going, Hannah has told me several times already that she is cold!!! YEA! Maybe we will survive in 09's heat!! Brent and Robert had a fantastic time putting both fans up!! We really appreciate all of Robert's help!! He is always up for helping out on all of that stuff!! I took a couple of pics of the fans to show how great they are! They probably look better in person but, you get the idea!
Yep, that's my husband....always the funny guy!!
Thanks to Lindley and Stephanie, we now have an abundance of little hot wheels cars in our house. Brent broke out the box a couple of days ago to take a trip back in time. It was Hannah's day at school so Jake was here to look on to all of Daddy's treasures. He got out this basket of cars, trucks, and trains and Jake was suddenly in heaven. He has been playing with them for hours upon hours since they made their way out of the box. I took these today while he was playing with them!! So cool that he gets to play with his Daddy's old cars!!

How well we remember not only Brent and his cars and trucks but also Jake's grandfather Lindley also laying on the floor playing with his cars and trucks or his airplanes.
The stripes and blocks in the carpet make perfect roadways and places to park.
Thanks for the trip back in time.
Forgot to mention the fans. They are just wonderful. We have them in every room and have two in the living room (as you probably remember) and even though the thermostat is set at 79 degrees, I am like Hannah (a little cold unless I am busying around)
So glad you will have a much more pleasant summer!
For me that's really not enough to cool our room and to comfort us. You really need to install split system air conditioner in your house for better, wider and cooler air conditioning.
